Real Transformation Initiative - Tanzania is a not-for-profit entity registered in the United Republic of Tanzania on 4th January 2024 as defined in this Constitution, recognized and governed by the Non-Governmental Organizations (Act No. 24 of 2002) of the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania with registration No. 00NGO/R/5538

Dr. Joyce Wamoyi is a Social and Behavioral researcher with over 20 years of research and programme experience in: Adolescent and Young People’s Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH); Social Determinants of health; Structural drivers of risk; Qualitative Research; Parenting and Child outcomes; and Sexual and Gender-Based Violence. She has contributed to the understanding dynamics of risky sexual behavior and to the development of measures to capture complexity of risky sexual behavior.

Gerry Hillary Mshana is a co-founder of RTI-Tanzania and serves as a Principal Research Scientist at the National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) in Mwanza, Tanzania, as well as a senior researcher at the Mwanza Intervention Trials Unit. A medical anthropologist with more than 17 years research experience on adolescent sexual and reproductive health, the socio-cultural aspects of HIV/AIDS, male circumcision, stroke, Parkinson’s disease and epilepsy.

John Cleophance Simba is a co-founder of RTI-Tanzania, bringing decades of lived experience and leadership to evidence-based research and programming. A retired TPDF officer who served in the Kagera War, he has spent over 30 years committed to community development mentoring street children through weekend breakfasts and life shaping lessons. Currently engaged in a transformative program that helps promising students access top secondary schools, opening pathways to higher education and long-term impact for their families and communities.

Flora Mbinga Manyenye is a co-founder of RTI-Tanzania, with over 20 years of experience in sales and logistics management. She brings a strategic mindset and a passion for problem solving. Currently the Operations Manager at Taifa Transport, she has a strong track record in building effective teams, growing businesses, and maintaining lasting client relationships. Her practical approach and focus on results help drive the organization’s evidence-based work.
